Being lazy is a bad habit we can only keep for so long.
Once we realize life is passing us by and are not living to our full potential, it’s time to take action and kick that lazy habit to the curb.
Everyone, including me, loves taking part in those lazy activities like staying on the couch for too long watching TV, or just sitting down doing absolutely nothing.
I’ll be the first one to admit, sometimes being lazy actually feels good, until that guilt feeling sets in.
On my laziest days, I like to binge watch YouTube videos and eat anything I want.
Sounds kind of bad, right?
After my lazy days, I almost always feel awful both emotionally and physically.
My non-lazy spirit always kicks in to give me the motivation I need to start over fresh the next day.
When it comes to hair, being lazy will hinder your natural hair growth journey because you will not want to get out of bed early to do your wash day routine (guilty).
That is why in today’s post, I am sharing five simple ways to still grow your natural hair even if you are lazy like most of us.
5 SIMPLE WAYS TO GROW YOUR NATURAL HAIR:
1. SET GOOD INTENTIONS
Similar to the good old saying, “if you set your mind to it, you can achieve it.”
You’ll want to set your mind on things that are good regarding your hair growth.
If you believe it can grow, then it certainly can. Keep a positive mindset, and do not compare your hair growth to others.
You can even meditate on it daily to speak positive affirmations over your hair so that the growth is not delayed.
2. EAT WELL
We all know that most of the stuff we eat today is garbage, so we must be conscientious of what we are putting inside of our bodies.
Keeping a well-balanced diet doesn’t have to be expensive.
I once kept a clean diet and gave myself all the proper nutrients on a less than a $200 per month food budget, honest truth.
I would mostly eat proteins, veggies, and fruits.
The key for me was budgeting well and shopping at my local produce market instead of the big supermarkets.
Some of the foods to take in while trying to grow your hair are eggs, spinach, all the berries, fish, nuts, avocado, and others.
And cooking your meals shouldn’t be so complicated that it takes two hours.
I can usually make myself a healthy meal in less than 30 minutes.

3. TAKE SUPPLEMENTS
Most people are not getting all the daily nutrients in their foods so supplements can make up for the lack.
Biotin is a great vitamin to take if you are serious about growing your hair. It will give your hair a boost.
Also, if you struggle with short nails, your nails will start growing at a faster rate.
Implementing a multivitamin will have an impact on your overall health and hair.
4. INCREASE WATER INTAKE
Water is essential to our survival.
To measure how much water to drink daily, you can check out the calculator here.
Don’t neglect your water intake if you want to grow your natural hair even if you are lazy.

5. ALWAYS TOUCH YOUR SCALP
I know that sounds weird, but let me explain.
When the scalp is massaged, blood flow increases which promote hair growth.
Sometimes, I am too lazy and lack the motivation to get my squats done when I said I would. So I’ve decided to do them doing the day or night in between my daily tasks.
For example, if I am in the kitchen waiting for my tea water to boil, I will do ten squats out of the 30 I do per day.
In the same way, while you are having a lazy day on the couch, make a conscientious decision to massage your scalp, or ask your spouse to do it for you.
If you make it a challenge to touch your scalp every day then you will remember to do massage it in between being lazy.
