Tribal braids are still in style, and today I am sharing how you can use them in an easy natural hair updo.
I’ve always admired this style, but the thought of me getting my full head braided in small braids scares me.
I am afraid of my edges being pulled too tight.
Ouch! I am tender headed.
Maybe one day I’ll overcome this fear, but for now four loose tribal braids it is.
For this natural hair updo style, Marley braiding hair was the perfect selection.
I recommend, any other type of kinky braiding hair extensions, and to avoid the soft textured extensions.
The added beads were also the perfect touch needed to complete this look.
The four braids were done with leftover jumbo hair extensions.
I went with a slanted part instead of a straight middle part because of my long-shaped face.
However, if you decide to try to this look, part your hair in a way that will suit your face.
Knowing how to style your hair based on your face shape is critical to your natural hair updo styling success.
Also, be flexible, and add your creative touch to it. Change up the accessories if needed.
This look is casual.
So you can wear it out on the weekends to run errands eating outings etc.
Unlike some natural hair updos, this style requires minimal bobby and hairpins making it easy to keep in for days.
Also, the Marley braid hair wasn’t manipulated greatly so it can be recycled.
If cared for properly at night, it can last up to two weeks with minor touch-ups.
